History In The Making

In my short time in life I have witnessed all kinds of records being broken. Records that they said would never be broken. I will never forget the night watching Mark McGuire breaking the single season home run record and saying "nobody will ever beat that" and then just a few years later watching Barry Bonds break it. I mean the list could go on and on and on. Records are set, but they are there to be beat. The one I never thought I would see in my lifetime is record crests being broken on the Ms. River. Most records were set in the "Great Flood of 1927"(notice I captilized it and put it in quotations). It was that great. It flooded the majority of the Ms. Delta while killing numerous people and completely destroying major towns. Royann (a.k.a. Little Hank Lamb) and I took our lunch break and rode over to the river to see what it looked like. Here are the pictures we took. The river looked like rapids, something you would see in the mountains, it was moving so fast. It is on the emergency levee's about six to eight feet.

First Coke

We were in Oxford a couple of weeks ago for baseball games and Kelsey was also there with a few of her friends. They had all gone to Zaxby's to get lunch and brought it back to the condo. Ann Fleming saw the drinks with the straws and wanted a drink. Camille Shelton, one of Kelsey's friends, asked me if she could have a drink and I asked her what was in the cup. Becuase with college kids you may never know whats in the cup. She informed me it was coke and Ann Fleming had never had a drink of coke before. So I decided to film her first drink of coke on camera and here was the result:
