Week six is here and almost finished. I have been pushing hard this week with my exercising or "grinding hard" as some college athletes say. Royann actually took up some time this week and exercised with me. I increased my volume of exercise to the peak of where I am going to hold it for a while. When I first started this whole diet thing, I was only walking about 3.5 to 4 miles per day. That was mainly because my legs couldn't handle all the walking or it was the weight that pressing down on my legs and hurting my joints. I am now walking between 5 miles minimum to 6.5 miles maximum per day. It all depends on weather, business at the clinic, or what the family has to do. I try my best on any day to get at least 1 hour of training per day. The treadmill seems to work harder on my joints than walking outside. I have actually found a nice walking trail in Greenville that I have been using lately. I usually drop Royann and Taylor off at the clinic and Ann Fleming and I head for the half mile trail before things get busy around the clinic. I push Ann Fleming in the stroller while I walk. She loves it because there are some stray cats and wild squirrels that hang out beside the track and she gets to talk to them while we walk. If it isn't possible to use the trails in Greenville, I use the roads in front of the house and the turnrow's of our great farming neighbors, the Downing's. MDOT and the county road crews could take lessons from the Downing's on how to keep a road in great shape. So here are the stats for this week:
Starting Weight:
299
End Of Week 5:
263
End of Week 6
259
Total For The Week:
-4 lbs.
Total For 6 Weeks on Diet:
