June 8: A day that will live in infamy at the Leflore household Part 2!

Following the short birth Royann had with Taylor, Taylor and I made our way to the nursery for mearsurements and getting her vital signs checked. Everyone watched through the window as they did all their testing. Taylor was 20.5 inches long and 7lb 15 oz. She was healthy as any baby could be. She replicated her sister in trying to pull up out the weight machine, which we all thought was hilarious. We didn't find out what Taylor was before hand and so as we did last year, we ran a contest on facebook on who could guess the sex and weight of Baby Leflore #2. If they guessed the sex and weight right, then they would win a gift card to their favorite business. We had over 400 guesses from our friends and when all the measurements were finished, Abby Franklin, a girl I went to high school with was the lucky winner. She guessed the sex and the exact weight of Taylor.

She definately has Long in her. Trying to outdo her sister.

Ann Fleming is a little excited
They did all the checks on the baby and within 30 minutes they had the baby back in the room with Mom and family. Taylor was named after Roy's mother. Royann has wanted to name a child Taylor since before Kelsey her sister was born. She begged her Mom and Dad to name Kelsey, Taylor. Well she finally got a Taylor.

Where did we get the name Killebrew for a middle name? Killebrew is my Mom's maiden name and Royann has always loved it for a name since we have been talking about having kids.

Ann Fleming used so much energy welcoming the baby, she had to to take a nap.

What a great First Family Pic!
I may be able to send this one in to Awkward Family Photos.

The one thing I can say about Ann Fleming is she loves to give love to Baby Taylor!

Where Taylor is most happy.
The biggest and one of the best surprises of the day was Royann's sister showing up for the birth. She just had a baby two weeks earlier. It is no short drive from Tupelo to Jackson after giving birth two weeks earlier and a screaming baby in the back wanting milk. Ashley's mother-in-law drove her down so she could be with the family, so thank you Mrs. Buse for making it happen. We want to thank you Ashley for making that sacrifice and being there with us on that special day and we love you very much.
